Darío Rivera: Where Stone and Soul Meet

Among the artists who gave life to this sculptural landscape stands Darío Rivera, whose work is distinguished by its balance, proportion, and conceptual depth. Though not the only sculptor involved, his artistic sensitivity, international trajectory, and steadfast commitment to Honduran art made him the ideal collaborator to express what this capsule represents; a dialogue between heritage and vision, between public art and quiet luxury.

Darío Alexander Rivera Trejo, born in El Porvenir, Honduras, is a sculptor, visionary, and founder of the international movement La Roca. His work has traveled far beyond borders, from Korea to France, from Italy to the United States; yet his purpose remains unchanged: to transform cities from their essence, using the very materials that emerge from Honduran soil to sculpt identity, permanence, and beauty.

Each of his sculptures is a silent manifesto stone that does not shout, but it speaks. It speaks of history, of community, of patience & sacrifice. In places like Ojojona, Darío has turned art into a tool for cultural regeneration, collaborating with local governments and artists to quite literally plant art into the earth. And it is from that same soil that this collaboration is born.

Instead of presenting our handbags on neutral surfaces, we chose to place them upon sculptural bases carved by Darío himself; not as accessories, but as pieces in dialogue. Leather and stone. Form and permanence. Design and legacy.

This capsule, “Shaped by the Journey,” finds its echo in Darío's work, in his sculpted edges, balanced volumes, and devotion to craftsmanship. His language, much like ours, is tactile, meditative, and profoundly Honduran.

Darío is not only an artist and sculptor we deeply admire, he is part of our community. This collaboration is not a fusion, but rather a recognition of who we are, what we can become if we work hard, and what we can express together when our disciplines unite as one voice.
