Her style and class have influenced our company in fascinating ways, shaping not only our vision but also our identity as a brand. Meet Atenas Hernández—a woman of exceptional taste, unwavering pride in her roots, and a global perspective that bridges cultures and creativity.
I am Atenas Hernández. I studied European Culture and French at Stendhal University in France and Communication and Public Relations at Harding University in the United States. My career has spanned private companies and public service, including supporting low-income youth in Honduras with university scholarships for academic excellence. I also actively collaborate with various Honduran and international foundations, driven by my commitment to education and opportunity.
A lover of fashion, travel, and my homeland, my latest adventure is the blog atenashernandez.com. Through it, I share the latest trends, celebrate Honduran and international artists and designers, and uncover the most stunning corners of the world—including those in my beloved Honduras. From covering the prestigious runways of New York, Paris, and Madrid to Medellín and Panama, I passionately support Honduran designers, championing both emerging talents and seasoned creators.
“My collaboration with Danilos is a natural fit. Their 100% Honduran roots, dedication to quality, and celebration of Catracho pride deeply resonate with me. I proudly showcase their accessories across the globe, sharing the beauty of Honduran craftsmanship wherever I go. Currently, I am thrilled to be part of the launch of Danilo’s newest collection—an extraordinary milestone in their history. Be sure to catch it on my blog and Danilo’s website.
I now live in Madrid with my husband, Juan, and our pug, Lolita. We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our daughter, Valentina Victoria, who is expected to join us in March. As I embrace this new chapter of motherhood, I remain committed to traveling the world, discovering new designers, and sharing breathtaking places—always carrying Honduras in my heart.
